The Gospel of Jesus Christ
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” (2 Peter 1:3)
What is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
When you think about the gospel of Jesus Christ, what comes to mind? Do you think about the child born in the manager; about the young 12-year old boy teaching in the synagogue; about the carpenter’s son from the village of Nazareth in Galilee; about the baptism in the Jordon; about the miracles and parables; clearing out the temple; teaching the 12 disciples; the death on the cross or the resurrection?
So, is this the gospel of Jesus Christ? One would expect this to be so. Some would say that’s all I would need to know about Jesus Christ. But is it? Does this knowledge alone equip you to work out your salvation with fear and trembling? If you want your faith to be living, if you want to be victorious in Christ, you need the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. What is the complete gospel? It’s the knowledge you need about Jesus Christ and your faith that enables you to grow strong in your faith.

My People are Destroyed for Lack of Knowledge
You know where the scripture says that God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge? (Hos.4:6) Have you ever wondered what kind of knowledge would be so important, that if you missed it, you would miss out on your salvation? That is what the word “destroyed” means.
From your understanding of the gospel, and from what you have accepted the Bible to say about the life of Jesus Christ, what would you say is missing from the teaching of the church today? Can you find anyone who is able to explain to you, fully and completely, the gospel of Jesus Christ?
• For example, what does the Bible mean when it says that we must offer to God spiritual sacrifices?
• What does it mean when the Bible says that we must be holy as God is holy and that our faith must be perfect?
If the gospel of Jesus Christ was merely a telling of the life and deeds of Jesus, then how does this help you to work out your salvation as God would have you and where you can stand confident before Him?
On this site, I hope to, with the help of God, explain to you fully and completely, the gospel of Jesus Christ so that you may understand every aspect of it in a very simple and straightforward manner. You are welcome to write to me and I will do my best to answer your questions.

Missing Links and Unanswered Questions
If you are like most Christians, you have a lot of missing links and unanswered questions about your faith, and have learned to live with the apparent paradoxes. What does this mean? This means that the gospel you have heard and received is missing vital information.
In one word, the gospel of Jesus Christ, that you received, was missing the knowledge of the covenant of Jesus Christ: what it is, and how to be in it. All Christians talk about being in Christ, but did you know that being in Christ means to be in covenant? And, in order to be in covenant, you need to hear and receive the full knowledge of the covenant and that is my purpose here. The knowledge of the covenant is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So, if we can go back to the place where we started this discussion, where we talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ being the telling of the story of His acts here on earth, we would say that this is only half the story. This we could call the fundamental knowledge (or historical details of Jesus’ life).
My purpose here is to introduce you to the other half of the story, which I would call the foundational knowledge of Jesus Christ. This is the knowledge you need for your salvation, this is the knowledge you require to work out your salvation; this is the knowledge which Paul speaks about when he talks about laying a foundation of truth as the master builder.

The Missing Pieces of the Gospel
If we were to look at the message of Jesus as being like a jigsaw puzzle without a picture to guide you, what would be the first thing you would do? Wouldn’t it be to build the edges or boundaries of the puzzle? It would be the place I would start. And here is where I can help you understand what the fundamental knowledge is. Now all Christians agree on the border, what Jesus did on earth as the Son of man, but after that have a difficult time forming the picture.
What the church has is the outside border, but they don’t have the face of Jesus Christ nor do they know what the face of Jesus Christ looks like, so they don’t know how to build. Some Christians are taught that they must live with the missing parts and be happy that they have the border, but did you know that we have received of His fullness: we have not received the Jesus in part.

Without knowing what the face of Jesus Christ looks like (foundational knowledge), man will always build with his imagination according to his inclination. This is why we have so many denominations today. There are at least 33, 000 denominations, which means there are 33, 000 official versions of Jesus and who knows how many unofficial.
Can you see the ignorance among countless Christians who profess Christ with sincerity and much zeal, but their zeal is without knowledge? his is not what God meant when “He who called forth light to shine out of darkness (at Creation), has shined in our hearts (His grace bringing illumination, enlightenment and awakening us from spiritual slumber) to give us the knowledge of His glory (the sum total of all His is and all He has)…and, where do we find this knowledge?….”in the face of Jesus Christ”.
Ignorance has led to man trying to emulate the earthly acts of Jesus and forgetting Christ who, having shed His blood to establish a new and living way (the way of His covenant) is now seated in heavenly places mediating for those who believe on His name. And what is He mediating? Is He mediating the enactment of His actions on earth as we see with the WWJD Movement? No, the Bible tells us that He mediates His covenant.
Unless we understand that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the knowledge of His spiritual and eternal covenant (that fulfils all the covenants that went before), we will forever be looking to serve God through the good works of the flesh, and we will miss serving God through the good works of the covenant.
We are not saved by the works of the flesh, but we are saved by the works of the covenant. We are saved as we serve God at the altar of Jesus Christ, which is that foundation of knowledge laid within the heart (Cor.3:10/Eph.2:20)/2Tim.2:19). We will learn more about this later. We are saved by taking on the yoke of this knowledge. This is the function of the priesthood of Jesus Christ which brings, to the heart of the covenant believer, the living reality of Christ within. Empowered to Make Cognitive Choices of Faith
What is required to make cognitive choices of faith? Key elements of empowerment include access to information, ability to make choices, assertiveness, and self-esteem. Access to information is the most important. Omitted information can be very critical missing links, especially when something as potentially dangerous as your eternal security.
The full foundation of truth must be set in your heart for you to make cognitive faith choices. If this information is missing or this procedure is not obeyed then you can say that you put your trust in the gospel, you do not have respect to all God’s commandments (Ps.119:6). I cannot stress enough the importance that truth be dispensed to the church through living apostles. This is God’s divine plan for the church to receive the full message of Jesus Christ.
Next, the ability to make choices. God gave us each a free will to choose to serve Him or to serve Satan, yet Satan has the soul bound in much false knowledge, so as long as that false knowledge continues to overshadow the mind, like a wild vine over a shed, not much light is going to gain entrance. A vital part of gaining victory in faith is to ability to choice between false knowledge and truth. The more you learn about the restored gospel, the more empowered you will be.
Assertiveness. This is the zeal to know God. Don’t wait for God to drop in on you, God expects us each to develop an appetite for Him. Seek Him every day and cry out to God for the truth. Let Him know that you desire to serve Him fully and that nothing but the truth of Jesus Christ will satisfy your soul.
Self-esteem. It is God that builds the soul up in the good things of His kingdom. It is Satan that brings the soul down with the labor of this world. If the gospel is confusing then how will God build you up?
If we do not understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, we will not understand WHY faith pleases God. We will not understand HOW to have perfect faith and HOW to be holy as He is holy. We will not understand by WHAT means we grow daily in faith and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
When we understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, we will understand how the divine exchange takes place in the soul of man (2 Pet 1:3) and we will understand our participation in the process for this exchange. In order for the divine nature to be formed within, our faith must hit the mark. Our salvation is not guesswork but follows a prescribed pattern, a pattern for faith set within Jesus Christ Himself. We require knowledge to follow this pattern and we need instruction in how to follow this pattern. God has designed this exchange to take place within a covenant.. It could not take place within the covenant of Moses and it will not take place outside the covenant of Christ.
This website is dedicated to exploring the gospel of Jesus Christ with the bigger picture in mind. This gospel is the thought that originated in the mind of God that brought forth a plan that produced a pattern we are to follow if we are to inherit the Kingdom of God. This pattern is not in the fundamental knowledge but in the foundational knowledge, which is the mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
